This is the highest volume of water I have ever seen – thanks to unseasonably high winter temperatures (+44 F). A shoe stuck deep in the mud and a mud ridden sock that eventually was lost along with its respective innocent partner, and a frozen foot – all were too little a price to pay for this photograph.
