While waiting for the arrival of Work Permit (otherwise known as Employment Authorization Document), I was hoping to get some photographic opportunities. Something I had been planning on shooting (the imaginary shot residing in my head) was downtown Houghton with snowflakes. Unfortunately, for a long time I did not know the appropriate exposure value to get that picture.
Recently, while shooting US Cross Country Skiing Championship, I found the settings. I tried the downtown Houghton in snow flakes once before but framing did not turn out as expected. Fortunately enough – I knew the settings, the snow flakes were there as well (and they continued to be there while I went back to my apartment and grabbed the equipment) and this is the result.
Only irony is that I am leaving this town soon and the sign says Welcome To Houghton!
